If you go to church, aren't you being a hypocrite?

The pharisees of that day used to make public displays that were quite dramatic so as to impress the people. This is what the scripture is referring to. Hebrews 11:1 tells us not to forsake the gathering of ourselves together. People today even pray the same things over and over again such as the Lords' Prayer. This prayer was simply an example of what we should pray for.
