What books would a journalist be into?

I recommend George Orwell. He was a journalist for the BBC during WWII. You might have read Animal Farm in School. Other books of his are 1984, Burmese Days, Homage to Catalonia, and the Road to Wigan Pier. Other authors that focus on social/ political problems would be good.
